The LC Mentality of LGBTQ+ Discrimination: Acceptance Through Oneness
Discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community is rooted in Lower Consciousness (LC) thinking, which is driven by fear, ignorance, and a limited understanding of human identity. Throughout history, individuals who do not fit into traditional molds of cis-gender and heterosexuality have been subjected to rejection, persecution, and judgment by societies grounded in this LC mindset.
However, through the lens of Oneness, it becomes clear that all beings are equal expressions of consciousness, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation. LGBTQ+ identities are simply part of the vast diversity of human experience, and they should not be viewed as deviant or unnatural but as another valid aspect of existence. There is no need to celebrate or make a big deal out of these identities—they are simply part of the human journey and should be accepted as such. Discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation is a manifestation of fear, and the path forward is one of acceptance and understanding.
The LC Roots of LGBTQ+ Discrimination: Fear and Control
At the heart of LGBTQ+ discrimination is the fear of difference. The LC mindset is rigid in its adherence to traditional norms and seeks to control or suppress anything that challenges the status quo. This mindset is tied to egoic attachment to identity, which clings to established roles and labels as a means of stability and power. When someone deviates from these norms, it can provoke fear and a defensive reaction in those who are entrenched in LC thinking.
In many societies, heteronormativity and binary gender roles are seen as the natural or “moral” order. This narrow view stems from cultural traditions and religious beliefs that dictate rigid gender roles and behaviors. These views, however, fail to recognize the true nature of consciousness—that it is fluid and diverse, and that gender and sexuality are simply part of the human experience.
Why Fear and Control Persist
Fear of the Unknown: For many, the unfamiliarity of gender identities and sexual orientations outside the traditional cis-heteronormative framework leads to discomfort or fear, which often manifests as discrimination or hostility.
Rigid Social Norms: Societies built around traditional norms struggle to accept anything that falls outside their established categories. The LC mindset resists change and diversity, forcing individuals to conform or face social rejection.
Religious Dogma: Many religious beliefs perpetuate the idea that LGBTQ+ identities are “sinful” or against divine order. These dogmas often encourage discrimination based on narrow interpretations of spiritual teachings.
Oneness and the Fluidity of Consciousness
From the perspective of Oneness, all beings are part of the same universal consciousness, temporarily inhabiting different vessels (bodies) to experience life in its infinite variety. Gender and sexuality are simply expressions of this consciousness, and they do not define the value or worth of an individual. Instead of focusing on these external differences, Oneness teaches us to look beyond them and recognize the shared essence that unites all beings.
In this light, LGBTQ+ identities should be seen as ordinary aspects of the human experience. Just as consciousness takes many forms across race, ethnicity, and nationality, it also manifests in a spectrum of gender identities and sexual orientations. These variations are not something to be celebrated or specialized, but simply accepted as part of the human condition.
A Simple Reality: Consciousness in Many Forms
Fluidity of Identity: Consciousness is not confined to rigid roles of “male” or “female,” “straight” or “gay.” It naturally flows across the spectrum of identity, expressing itself in different ways throughout the human journey.
No Need for Special Attention: LGBTQ+ identities should not be highlighted or exaggerated. They are simply another part of the diverse expressions of consciousness in human life, deserving of basic acceptance without any additional fanfare.
Acceptance is Key: The goal is not to make LGBTQ+ individuals or their experiences special or celebratory but to create a world where their existence is normal, and they are treated as equals without undue attention or discrimination.
LC Morality and LGBTQ+ Discrimination
The LC mindset often tries to impose moral judgments based on gender or sexual identity, labeling certain behaviors as sinful or unnatural. This is a reflection of fear-based thinking, not true morality. LC morality seeks to control people based on superficial traits rather than focusing on the intent and impact of their actions.
Higher Consciousness (HC) morality, on the other hand, is based on compassion, justice, and whether actions cause harm or contribute to the well-being of others. From this perspective, someone’s gender identity or sexual orientation is irrelevant. What matters is whether their actions are ethical, kind, and considerate of others.
Harm vs. Identity in HC Morality
LC Morality: Often, LC morality condemns individuals based on their identity rather than their actions. This leads to harmful and unjust discrimination.
HC Morality: In HC, actions are judged based on whether they cause harm or contribute to the well-being of others. A person’s sexual orientation or gender identity is not immoral; only selfish or abusive actions that harm others fall into the realm of immorality.
Accepting LGBTQ+ Individuals as Part of Humanity
LGBTQ+ individuals are simply part of the human experience, and there is no need to make a big deal about their existence. Their identities are not something to be feared or discriminated against, but neither should they be treated as special or exotic. Acceptance, not celebration or ostracization, is the appropriate response.
Just as people come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors, people also express themselves through different gender identities and sexual orientations. These differences are simply part of the fabric of life, and by accepting them, we can create a world where everyone feels safe and respected for who they are.
A Simple Acceptance of Reality
Inherent Equality: LGBTQ+ individuals deserve the same rights and respect as everyone else, not because of their differences but because they are human beings like anyone else.
Ordinary Part of Life: Gender diversity and different sexual orientations are natural expressions of consciousness and should be treated as normal, not as something to be either celebrated or condemned.
Moving Toward an HC Society of Equality and Acceptance
The path forward is to transcend LC thinking and create a society where all individuals, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. In an HC society, there is no need to highlight or stigmatize LGBTQ+ identities—they are simply accepted as part of the human journey.
Steps Toward HC Inclusivity
Education and Awareness: Societies must prioritize education that promotes understanding and acceptance of all identities. This involves dismantling harmful narratives and teaching future generations that all expressions of gender and sexuality are valid.
Legal Protections: LGBTQ+ individuals must be legally protected from discrimination, violence, and marginalization. True equality requires the establishment of laws that protect the rights of all individuals to live freely and safely.
Compassion and Support: We must expand our circle of compassion to include those who have been marginalized by LC thinking. This involves not only advocating for legal rights but also offering support to those who need it.
Challenging Outdated Beliefs: Many religious or cultural beliefs that condemn LGBTQ+ identities are based on misinterpretations of morality. As humanity evolves, these beliefs must be challenged and replaced with teachings that reflect truth, compassion, and acceptance.
Conclusion: Transcending LC Discrimination and Accepting Diversity
The LC mentality that discriminates against LGBTQ+ individuals is rooted in fear and a lack of understanding of the diversity of human experience. Instead of celebrating or condemning gender and sexual diversity, we must recognize it as a natural part of life that deserves acceptance without judgment or special treatment.
True equality means recognizing that everyone, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, is an equal part of the human journey. By accepting this reality and moving beyond the limitations of LC thinking, humanity can create a world where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect—not because they are different, but because they are simply human.
